Undergraduate
In 2006 and 2007, UMass Boston's College of Public and Community Service partnered with Give US Your Poor to present the course, "The History of Homelessness." The course was developed by Prof. Jim Green, Ph.D. and John McGah and utilized many readings but primarily, Down and Out, On the Road: The Homeless in American History (2003) by Ken Kusmer.
As part of the course, students researched homelessness in specific eras in U.S. History to create an extensive timeline for other students and scholars. This will be available on line in the future.
